Warranties:
All inverters and batteries must be installed by a qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labour. A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be issued once installed, specific to the installation of the backup or solar system. The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts. Any warranty claim submitted without installation photos, a valid COC and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician installing the unit, can be rejected and will render the warranty claim null at void.
(Please note this only applies to gel batteries and not lithium batteries)
– The standard batteries in this kit are rated to last 200-300 cycles (load shedding).
– During occasional load shedding, at stages 1-2, the average life span is 2 years.
– Unfortunately, during constant load shedding, at stages 2 – 6, these cycles will be depleted within a few months.
– The batteries will also be further degraded due to insufficient time to recharge fully in between load-shedding cycles.
– As soon as the batteries stop lasting, unfortunately, the warranty becomes void, as this means that the batteries have depleted their cycles and reached the end of their life
– 200-300 cycles (deep cycle batteries) in mind when running the system.
– Therefore, during constant stages 2-6, we highly recommend keeping the inverter’s power switch OFF. Then, only switch it on when the need for backup power is crucial.
– This will preserve the longevity of the batteries (please keep it plugged into the wall permanently to keep it charged).
